Let's talk tox

If you’re concerned about wrinkles and fine lines from movement and facial expressions, neuromodulators or "tox" might be just the solution!

FDA-approved neuromodulators in the United States include Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau, and most recently, Daxxify. These all work by temporarily relaxing the movements made by muscles, leading to smoother, more youthful-looking skin. Commonly treated areas include the lines between the eyes commonly referred to as “the elevens”, crow’s feet, forehead lines, and smile lines; however, neuromodulators can also be used to improve issues such as gummy smiles and neck lines, create jawline slimming or treat teeth grinding, and decrease excessive sweating called hyperhidrosis.

Our pricing for neuromodulators is $12/unit and your specific amount of units needed is dependent on your muscle movement, skin quality, and treatment goals. However, because we want our patients to be able to see S+A's results with less fear (or impact to your pocketbook), we offer all new patients tox at just $10/unit for their first treatment to let you see the difference!

Here's the rundown on tox-

Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau, and Daxxify are all FDA-approved neuromodulators that prevent excessive movement of facial muscles, leading to a smoother appearance of the skin. These also prevent new fine lines and wrinkles from forming. Neuromodulators are injected into the facial muscle creating the movement leading to lines/wrinkles and are relatively painless. The results typically last between 3-4 months.

01. what are neuromodulators or tox?

Neuromodulators generally begin taking effect between three and seven days after injection, depending on which brand was used. Each brand's intake time can vary by a few days. Full optimization will appear after 14 days, and results can last approximately three months.

02. when will i see results?

After about three months, you will feel the effects of your neuromodulator injections wear off. Depending on your age, the condition of your skin, and other factors, a treatment plan will be set at the time of your visit, but typically neuromodulators are injected 2-4 times per year.

03. How many treatments will I need?

Dermal fillers (such as Juvéderm, Restylane, Versa, or RHA) and neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau, or Daxxify) both prevent and correct signs of aging, but work very differently. Dermal fillers contain a hyaluronic acid base that adds fullness and volume to areas of the face, chin, and jawline. Neuromodulators, on the other hand, relax facial muscles that cause lines and wrinkles through continuous and exaggerated movements like scowling and smiling. If it's caused by movement, your solution is likely a neuromodulator!

04. What's the difference between filler and neuromodulators?

Skin + Aesthetics walks each of our patients through how to sign up for loyalty points with programs like Allē, ASPIRE, and Evolus and depending on what brand of tox is used, we ensure that you are given credit through the appropriate program. Our neuromodulator partners award customer loyalty with promotions and points that you can spend on injectables and skincare products.

As far as promotions go or discounts go, we offer a discounted rate of $10/unit (normally $12/unit) to new patients who wish to try our clinic out and you can continue that discount by becoming a member of our clinic.
